New Features & Enhancements

FY2027 LSA now available
The FY2027 version of the Longitudinal Systemic Analysis (LSA), reissued by HUD, is now available and is the default version. The version you pick from the report’s dropdown is now always the one that runs. This year’s LSA introduces a new data quality measure that separates out 4 digit SSNs from the count of missing/invalid SSNs, bringing it in line with current HMIS Data Standards. The 2026 version is also now available in the Housing Inventory Count (HIC), so it matches the LSA.
New summary tab in the User Access Logs report
The User Access Logs report has a new summary tab. It shows counts of activity and of new user accounts across the Warehouse, HMIS, and CAS. The Excel download also has a new tab listing HMIS users.

System administrators can configure rules for all form types
Community system administrators who can configure data collection can now add form rules for every form type, including HUD assessments, case notes, current living situation, and occurrence point forms. Before, they could only do this for service and custom assessment forms, and anything else needed a support request.
More flexible pick lists and autofill in the Form Builder
Form builders can now reorder Choice and Open Choice pick list options with move up and move down controls. The option editor is also clearer to use. For autofill, a new “Autofill from” setting lets a question fill from a static value, another question on the form, or a formula. When you choose “Another question,” you pick the source question from a list of compatible questions on the form.
Field descriptions in the CE match rule editor
When you choose a field while building a Coordinated Entry match rule, its description now appears as helper text. This makes it easier to tell what each field means.
Improvements
Warehouse
HMIS client restrictions now carry through to the Warehouse
When a client is restricted in HMIS, the Warehouse now protects their personal information, whatever the viewer’s Warehouse permissions. Name, SSN, date of birth, photo, and HIV/AIDS status are redacted for these clients across the client dashboard, cohorts, analytics views, CAS Readiness, HMIS CSV exports, and Warehouse reports. Those reports include the APR/CAPER, HOPWA CAPER, PIT, SPM, PATH, the HMIS Data Quality Tool, Homeless Summary, Core Demographics, and Outcomes. Restricted clients also no longer appear in name or SSN search results. They can still be found by date of birth, Personal ID, or Warehouse ID.
Separate permission for downloading LSA source data
Downloading the source HMIS data attached to an LSA run now needs its own role permission. Roles that could already export HMIS data received the permission automatically, so no one lost access. Any role created from now on must be given it explicitly. The same data is still available through the HMIS Export report, which has its own permissions.
More complete and accurate User Directory report
The User Directory report now lists inactive users as well as active ones. Each user’s Active/Inactive status now matches the Admin page, so expired or long-unused accounts no longer show as active. When HMIS is in use, a new HMIS Access column shows which HMIS data sources each user can reach, both on screen and in the Excel download.
Data Quality Tool checks now match the APR
The HMIS Data Quality Tool’s checks on client name, SSN, and date of birth now follow the same rules as APR question 6a, so the two reports no longer disagree about the same data. The checks are stricter, so you may see more records flagged than before. For example, a partially reported name now counts as an error, SSNs are checked for validity, and a date of birth that falls after the record was created is flagged. The check descriptions in the report have been updated to match.
Faster, cleaner Data Source pages
The Data Sources list and Data Source detail pages load faster and are easier to scan, with most actions now in a single drop-down menu. For very large data sources, projects are grouped by CoC on their own pages, with summary cards on the main page. Smaller data sources, and those with only one CoC, keep their projects on the main page. When projects appear on the main page, you can now filter them the same way you can on the per-CoC pages. The Data Sources list also lets you drill in to see which enrollments are still waiting to be processed.
HMIS
Clearer household details on referrals
In Referral Details, household members who have exited are now labeled “Exited,” and household counts in the Direct Referral menu include only members who are still enrolled. This makes it easier to see who is actually being referred.
Coordinated Entry searches are remembered
Searches on the Coordinated Entry Referrals and Eligible Clients tables now stay in place after you refresh the page, open it in a new tab, or come back from a referral with your browser’s Back button. Search terms are never shown in the page address.
Eligibility Rules available to CE administrators
Users with permission to manage CE match rules can now open Admin → Eligibility Rules and manage rules at the global, organization, project, and unit group levels, even without broader configuration rights.
HUD and custom assessments separated in the New Assessment menu
The New Assessment menu now groups HUD assessments and custom assessments separately, so it’s easier to find the one you need.
Friendlier handling of very long searches
Client searches have a 100-character limit. Longer searches used to bring up an error page that blocked the screen. Now you’ll see a short message right in the search field, and editing the search clears it with no page reload. This applies to the main client search, advanced search, and the search bar at the top of the page.
Bug Fixes
Warehouse
Corrected time-to-move-in figures on the APR
On the FY2026 APR, the time-to-move-in results in questions 22c and 27k could be wrong for household members other than the head of household. In some cases they showed 0 days when the correct answer was much longer, especially on APRs run across groups of projects. The figures now follow HUD’s rules for handling move-in dates, and household members who exited before the household moved in are now counted in the “exited without move-in” row.
HMIS
Client alerts kept when merging clients
When two clients were merged, alerts on the client being merged away could be lost without any warning. Those alerts, including expired ones, now move to the client you keep. If the merge is undone, they’re restored.
Custom enrollment fields filled in on new assessments
When you started a new assessment, custom fields stored on the enrollment could appear blank even though they already had values. These fields now fill in correctly from the enrollment.
